Dec 30, 2013

We are really happy where the horses are at the moment. We are starting to see our younger ones come through and our older horses are beginning to come up to peak fitness and are working very well also.
December was again a good month and we finished it in flurry. With only 20 runners we managed 5 wins, 5 seconds and a third, with many of the others not that far away. As such our runners to money earners was at 50%, which we were very pleased with but are hoping to improve on.
The month started off with Rojo Grande breaking his Maiden status in winning at Doomben, he followed that up with a solid second in a Class 2 at the Sunshine Coast later in the month. Devil Heart then romped in at the Sunshine Coast as did Doctor David. Zips A Daisy finally broke her string of placings by winning at Ipswich and then Harada Bay won in very good fashion at Doomben the following day. Others to run places were Gadawon and Miagrace. We also had our first Group level runner in Queensland with Smart Huss running in the Vo Rogue Plate and finishing only 2 lengths from the winner.
The month ahead looks pretty busy and exciting. All of the above horses should be going around and we will hopefully also see the likes of Trecratic, Anniversary Jewel, Alangejack, Seonia, Dunlap, Kainji Rock, Shotover River, Shadow Dol, Choir Girl, Locimagooli, Mr Testa, More Than Noble and Warrior Sky at the races. We are really pleased with the way all the horses are going and hopefully the month will be a successful one.
Again we would like to thank all of our owners for their support. We will have another open day in the not too distant future and it will be great to catch up with everyone. Our door is always open to owners who would like to drop into the stables and see their horses.
Finally thanks again to our staff who continue to do a fantastic job with the horses. It is amazing how many positive comments we get on race days in regard to how well our horses look.
