SINGAPORE SUCCESS CONTINUES

Jun 08, 2016

Dan Meagher has continued his good form in Singapore with 3 runners last weekend.  All of which ran very well, with each finishing in the money.

Friday night saw the stables first runner, Good Deal, ridden by Alan Munro, just failing to get up in the last few strides to finish an unlucky second after drawing wide and being caught three deep in the run. Things improved later in the evening as Sugartime Jazz ran out a strong 1600m, after being ridden the perfect race by Oscar Chavez to score in the Class 5 Handicap.

Sunday saw the stables only runner, Natural Impluse with Saifudin on board, just failing to hold in the last 50m to finish a close up third.

“Things are going really well for the stable at the moment and I would like to thank all of our owners for the support and confidence they have shown us. We have built up a nice team of horses, in varying grades, with some young horses that are coming along very well. In this business you rely heavily on your staff and I would very much like to thank them for the effort they have put in to date.” Commented Dan Meagher

Since beginning operations in April this year, Dan has had 8 runners with a winning strike rate of 25% and a first 3 strike rate of 62.5%. Although still early days it has been a terrific start to his training career in Singapore.
