Choose The Moment continued Meagher Racings' recent excellent form, by easily winning the the 1200m Sky Racing Maiden Handicap at the Gold Coast. After jumping from a wide gate, rider Brad Stewart, was able to angle across and have her settled in the box seat and travelling well. From there it was just a matter of pulling out around the leaders heels and storming home for a well deserved win.

"She has been really consistent and it was good to see her get to the line the way she did, she really deserved that win. Brad was able to get her into a perfect spot from an awkward barrier, so it was a 10/10 ride from that point of view. She has been a little bit stop/start in her races so we added blinkers to her gear today and it really helped her to concentrate. She will get over a bit more ground and will be a much better horse next time in." Commented Chris Meagher

Co trainer John Meagher was also pleased for the stable and the way the filly won. " She is a really nice horse and will improve quite a bit from that run, as she is still a bit new and the win will do her confidence the world of good. It is always good to win a race for Kilto Park and although Mary and Neville (Bell) are away on holiday, I am sure they would have found a way to watch or at least listen to the race. Also, I can't heap enough praise on our staff, who along with Chris and Paul do a marvellous job and the fantastic run we are having at present is a credit to them."
