Meet And Greet returned to the winners circle with a strong win in the 1400m Class 1 Handicap at the Sunshine Coast. Despite being a little slow away, jockey Brad Stewart was able have him travelling comfortably on the pace from his good barrier draw. On turning for home, after coming around the heels of the leader, he powered down the long straight to win comfortably.

"It was a very good win and we are happy to train another winner for Neville Bell and his wife, who have been great supporters of ours. We were very confident today as he had improved considerably from his first up run and his work had been excellent. He is a one pacer so we needed Brad to have him pretty close to the lead and travelling comfortably, which is exactly what he did, so it was the perfect ride from that point of view. He ran some very good races against quality opposition over the carnival so from here, with his confidence up, we will probably look at a city race for him to progress to." Commented co trainer Chris Meagher.

John Meagher was also a happy man after the event. "The stable is really going well at the moment, with 3 winners from 3 starters this week. It is a real credit to Chris and the staff. This horse has good ability, as he showed last preparation, so it was really good for him to go out there and have a "killing", so to speak. It will improve him a great deal as his confidence will be sky high now. He will get further so he can now have a few quiet days and we will sit down with Neville to discuss our next move."
