Vital Love made it two wins from two starts this time, when she account for her rivals in the 1200m Events At BRC Class 2 Handicap at Doomben. Ridden again by Ron Stewart, she was quickly out of the gates, obtained a relatively easy lead and held that to the line in Class record time.

" She is not very big, but has a huge heart and the win was another really gutsy effort. To go directly from a maiden win, to winning a Class 2 is a terrific effort and not many horses can do that, especially in the style that she has. Ronnie again summed up the race perfectly and had her travelling well throughout. I thought the second horse was going to head her but she dug deep and fought it off, holding it on the line. From what she is showing us I think we can now head to a Saturday race where she will surely be competitive." Commented Chris Meagher

"This girl was a pretty cheap buy, so congratulations to all of her owners, as she is really paying for herself now and I am sure there are more wins in store. It is also good for Ronnie, as he has been riding work for us, getting to know all of the horses and riding them in great fashion in races. It is great for the stable to have a rider of his calibre available to us. This will also be a shot in the arm for Andy Kermond, our senior track rider, as he picked her out at the sales and unfortunately was kicked at the stables and has spent the last week in hospital with broken ribs. We are very pleased with the way the stable is going at the moment so a big thanks to all of our dedicated staff." Commented John Meagher
