Zoff Of the World franked his good recent form by winning the 1400m IGA Caloundra Maiden Plate at the Sunshine Coast. Jockey Ronnie Stewart was able to get him from a wide barrier to settle mid field, one off the fence and from there he fought doggedly down the straight to win by a slim margin.

"This guy is a work in progress as we know he has ability but he just doesn't put it all together in his races. Tonight was a perfect example, as he probably should have won by a bit further than a nose. Ronnie did a great job to get him home as he was stargazing, stopping and starting. We tried to counter that with blinkers, but he just doesn't go an inch in them at present. As he gets more race experience the better he will get and we have not seen the best of him as yet." "Congratulations to the Ontrack team, as it is always good to train winners for them and we appreciate the support they give us. This fellow is not quite there yet and as he races more the better he will become. As usual Ronnie rode him a treat and got the best out of him. It is important for us to have him around as he rides the horses work and knows them well, so there aren't any surprises for the rider on race day, which is a definite advantage. Also thanks again to our staff for the great job they are doing." Commented John Meagher
