Divine Dice scored a comfortable win in the 1200m South East Civil Handicap at the Sunshine Coast. After jumping well, jockey Bridget Grylls was able to slot into the perfect "one out one back" position from a middle gate. After turning for home, she bought the son of Casino Prince around the leading pairs heels, moving forward and sprinting quickly over the last 100m to score a decisive 1.5 length win.

"We are very happy that this fellow showed what he can really do. He has been a bit of a problem child, dogged by little issues and we have had bad gates and tracks to contend with. Hence the long wait between runs. Everything worked in our favour this evening and I would like to thank all of the owners for their patience. Bridget has been coming in and riding some work for us in the mornings, so it was good to repay that commitment with a winner and to be honest it was a 10/10 ride, as she got across, had him travelling and chimed in at the right time." Commented trainer John Meagher.

"Although frustrating, the staff have done a great job to get him back to winning form, as he has had problems coping with the the hot weather and other minor niggling issues. Although this was a reasonably strong field, we were quietly confident going into the race, as he had been working very well. Now that we have got him right he should be able to win more races." Commented stable foreman Andy Kermond
