Exceed All Odds broke his Maiden status with an extremely tough win in the 1200m Caravan and Camping Maiden Handicap at the Gold Coast. Jockey, Bridget Grylls was able to use barrier 1 and have him just behind the leaders in the run before peeling out prior to the corner and then stage a "ding dong" battle with the second place getter all the way down the straight, to score by a short margin.
"It was great to see this fellow win, especially for our long time clients, Heran Racing, who have been great supporters of the stable. He has had a tendency to do quite a few things wrong over the course of his career, but he did everything right today and I think putting blinkers on helped him concentrate. Bridget did a good job, using the gate well and getting off the fence at the right time, making the challengers behind come around her. It was a very tough affair in the run home and he showed a huge amount of courage as he was headed and fought back on the line. Thanks to all of our staff who have done a great job to get him to win today." Commented John Meagher
