Cymbalism showed her rivals a clean pair of heels in winning the 1200m Class 1 Handicap at Geelong by 5 lengths. Jockey Jake Noonan took the daughter of Denman straight to the front from the barrier and the result was never really in doubt, with her rivals off the bit prior to the corner.

"It was an excellent win and she showed that she has ability. We felt she was a very good chance today based on her last run and it was great that she came through for everyone. Jake and I thought pre race that if we could get an easy lead we should take, so he basically rode her perfectly from the good barrier. It was also terrific to win another race for the Ontrack owners and Grant Morgan, who have been good supporters of ours for a number of years. This mare is due to go though the sales in a month or so, so this win should enhance her value and hopefully we can get one more run and win out of her before she goes. Thanks must go to all our staff who do a great job, both here and in Queensland." Commented Chris Meagher
