Cymbalism continued the good run of the Meagher stable by trouncing her opposition in the 1200m Go Racing@Ipswich Turf Club Fillies and Mare BM70 Handicap. Jumping from the inside gate, jockey Ron Stewart was quick to go forward and dictate terms and turning for home was able to kick clear and win by a comfortable 3 lengths eased down.

"She was racing well in Melbourne, but it was decided to bring her up to Brisbane to try and get a metropolitan win, so that has now been achieved and judging by that performance you would expect that there will be more in store. Her work over the past week or so was excellent so we were quite confident of her running well today. We were happy for her to lead today, but really left it to Ronnie to access the pace once the gates had opened. He did a great job in that regard. It is always good to win a race for Ontrack and their team of owners and we'd like to thank them again for their patience and support. Also the staff in Brisbane continue to do a terrific job so a big thank you to them as well." Commented stable foreman Andy Kermond
