Rich Affair bounced back into the winners stall, scoring in the 1350m Good Luck Jeff Lloyd BM70 Handicap at Doomben. Jockey Brad Stewart drove him from the barriers to eventually lead after 200m, before kicking two lengths clear turning for home and holding that to the line.

"It was so good to see him win today as he has had a completely luckless preparation so far, so hopefully that has changed things around. It has been very frustrating for the owners, but unfortunately that is just how racing goes sometimes, but at least he has somewhat repaid that recent frustration. As usual, Brad rode him very well and rated him perfectly. A big congratulations to Andy (Kermond) and all the staff in Brisbane, with the team flying at the moment and quite a few more nice horses coming into the stable." Commented Chris Meagher
