Trevelyan scored the first Metropolitain win of his short career, when coming from well back to win the 1600m Triple M's Greg Martin 3 Year Old Handicap at Eagle Farm. After jumping from a wide gate, jockey Robbie Fradd was content to let the son of Pierro settle back in the field and find his feet before 'getting on his bike" turning for home and working down the middle of the track to run down the leaders close to home, winning by a comfortable 3/4 of a length.
"This horse is very lightly raced, having had only 7 starts and to his credit has only been out of the money once in his life. Like almost all of Paul Fudges' (Waratah Thoroughbreds) horses he is impeccably bred and we are most thankful to have him in the stable. We feel confident he will furnish into a very nice stayer, especially as he gains more experience from racing. Dad and I could not be happier with the way the stable is going in Brisbane and it is a credit to Andy Kermond and all our staff for the effort they are putting in to get the horses to produce their best on race day."
