Pippie trounced her rivals at Caulfield in winning the 1100m MRC Foundation Supports Legacy Handicap by an impressive 3 lengths. Starting from barrier 1, jockey Ben Melham allowed the daughter of Written Tycoon to show the opposition a clean pair of heels from go to whoa to score untouched and eased down

"That was a tremendous win, as although we felt she would run very well, we were also cognizant of the fact that she was not fully wound up. So for her to come out and trounce her rivals the way she did, really has us looking forward to the coming weeks and stepping her up in class. It was also really great for our long time owners and supporters, Heran Racing, who thoroughly deserve to have a nice horse like this. It is obviously also great for the stable and it it shows how we work together in both Brisbane and Melbourne as she had done all her work up in the warmer Brisbane weather before coming down. So a big thanks to all the staff in both states, with the horses in Brisbane today very unlucky with two seconds from two runners." Commented Chris Meagher
