Pippie scored the first black type win of her short career, with an electrifying performance, to lead all the way, in the Cockram Stakes at Caulfield. A pre race plan to lead, but keep away from the fence worked wonders as it gave those drawn inside her no cover from the strong headwind. After being rated well early by Ben Melham, she was able to skip away over the final 100m to win by 1,5 lengths.

"We are very happy for the connections, Heran Racing, who have been very long term supporters of ours and deserve to have a nice mare like this. Ben again rode her a treat and followed the plan to perfection. We haven't really got to the bottom of her yet and we definitely feel there are bigger races in store for her, but for the immediate future we will just look at the How Now back here at Caulfield in 3 weeks. Finally, a big thanks to all of our staff, with Brisbane and Melbourne both playing a big part in this mares preparation." Commented Chris Meagher
